CephsInAction FA1301 Cost Action – Dissemination Meeting
We will present our aims and activities at YOUMARES-6.
YOUMARES is the only conference and network meeting that provides a platform and access to the stage of science for young marine scientists and engineers from undergraduate level, with the aim to boost the interaction between scientific “youngsters and seniors”. In addition it enables networking between young researchers in Germany and worldwide. In a nutshell, YOUMARES allows for the enhancement of competence by means of exchanges of experience between the attendees.
Within the framework of YOUMARES6, 14 different thematic sessions will be held, one of which is entitled ‘Cephalopods and Society: Scientific applications using cephalopods as models‘. This session aims at presenting several examples from cephalopod research that can be applied to other disciplines and industries, as is the case, for example, with soft robotics. The session is being organized by a group of young researchers from the Young Cephalopod Research (YCR) group.

Dr Giovanna Ponte will take part to the thematic Cephalopod session as representative of CephsInAction, promoting the COST Action FA1301 and its networking; Dr Ponte will not use any financial support from the COST Action for attending to this event.
